The California town of Buenas Yerbas is the setting for Half-Lives: The First Luisa Rey Mystery It is located just outside of the Swannekke Island nuclear plant and its HYDRA project. One of the suburbs of Buenas Yerbas is Ewingville, named after the nineteenth-century hero of the first story, Adam Ewing.
