Chang was a chauffeur who, after Sonmi-451 discovered the body of Seer Rhee, offered Sonmi-451 two choices: To accompany him from the dinery or to remain and be wrongly exposed as a spy. Sonmi went with him to the surface of Neo Seoul. Chang drove a car with Sonmi and an unidentified man as passengers. Upon arriving at Taemosan University, Chang took Sonmi to the laboratory of Boom-Sook Kim and left her.
